• Our wedding will be set in a beautiful outdoor setting, so we’ve chosen a Garden Soirée dress code –relaxed, romantic, elegant, and perfect for an afternoon celebration that rolls into an evening of fun.

For the ladies: Think wedding-worthy dresses in light, romantic and flowy fabrics – floral prints, pastels, or classic tones all suit the setting. Maxi or midi lengths, dressy flats or block heels (we’ll be on grass!), and a light layer for later in the evening are ideal.

For the gents: A lightweight suit or smart blazer with trousers works perfectly. Ties are optional – we’re keeping things relaxed but refined. Polished shoes or loafers complete the look.

It’s all about dressing up in a way that feels special, celebratory, and comfortable in the garden setting. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

  • There is absolutely no pressure to attend the day after function, however some of you have travelled from afar and we would love to spend some more time with you relaxing, eating, drinking and playing games.

  • As much as we absolutely adore your little ones, we kindly request that our wedding be an adults- only event. We hope you understand that this decision allows all our guests (including you!) to relax and enjoy the evening with us. However, kids are definitely welcome to the day after function (including any parental babysitters). We can't wait to celebrate together.

  • There's some amazing places to eat on the Island if you are making the weekend of it and would like somewhere to go on the Friday. Vineyards- Casita Miro, Poderi Crisci, Man O War, The Gin Distillery or Heke. Restaurants - Oyster Inn, Three Seven Two, The Courtyard or Ki Maha. Or if you're up for a bit of nature there are some beautiful tracks (Te Are Hura Walks), Onetangi or Oneroa beach to walk along. So many more to add, although you're probably sick of reading by now.
